I had the same problem last year, except this year, the carbs are clean!
I start the sled on full choke and I have to give it gas to keep it running, flip it to half and again I have to give it gas to keep it running, then flip it to off, and it is ok to idle on it's own. The idle is at 1600-1800 when the engine is warm, carbs are clean, choke is adjusted, throttle is adjusted.
Don't really know what it could be?? It's not really a problem, but it would be nice if I could start it and let it go, and just turn choke off as it warms up.

when you start it did you try droping it two half right away or no choke and just hiting half on off if it starts to die?

Not exactly that, but I have tried flipping it to half as soon as it starts...I think! I will try tomorrow.

does it sit outside or inside, mine was always inside and it would need full choke to start but immediately could turn the choke off when it fired, just a thought

I tried it a little while ago, and the best way was to start on full, flip off after 2-3 sec. and the one or two times it tries to stall just flip the choke to half, for a sec. to keep it running.

what happens when you flip it to half right away? That what i do even in very cold temps. Then leave it at half for 10 senconds, or maybe 30 secs when really cold and then move it to off.
After engine starts turn choke too off,, Blip choke if needed to have the engine run smoothly,, (just to richin it up a bit) as you warm-up, throttle needs to be feathered till warm.... Use your engine ears..
