1- I have the entire Ohlins shock set up on my sled, now what setting do most of you run for trail ridding, it was set up for lake running and it is starting to get very annoying tbh.

2-What can I do with this crappy Pro Action rear to get some more height out of it, in powder as we all know I just bog down, now I saw another sled just like mine today and he had a lot of clearance, did not look to be a different skid then mine either.

3- The dread *** all over the place. I have a new Camo-P 1.25 track on my sled, but on the hard pack I feel the arse always wanting to slide all over the place, it is an unstudded track still. I personally do not want to stud it, any other tricks in setting up the suspension? Also on a cold track, it you list if, how much of the track should be hanging, as in the gap between skid and track at lowest point. I personally think I have mine to loose, but do not want to over tighten it and screw it up.

Thanks for your advice

You could sell the ohlins and and long travel it with some Viper shocks all around. Then get some drop brackets. This should raise the back end atleast 3" or so.
Tail wag. Is the track running centered in the skid? How much ski pressure are you running? Is the w-arm in one piece? Check on these things and let us know what you find.

i put a set of bender trnsfer rods on they adjust height also ans uncouple the suspension made a big differance the suspension is livable now two of my friend have sx 700 with nothing done to the suspension the are stiff compared to mine

The drop brackets, who is selling them now, sorry for the dumb question as I just came form polaris to Yammy, so not all up to date on where to get the brackets.

Also the Viper shocks, am I going to have to do any other mod to the front if I use them, or direct bolt on and do you know how much more clearance I will get over the Ohlins.

Your other questions, track is running dead center, just when I lift it up when cold, and you know cold as we live in the same province, i will have about 2 inch or more hanging down at lowest point.

As for ski preasure it is pretty much maxed out up front.

Track is in A+ condition

New sliders etc etc. I just was told these sleds have a lot of tail wag anyways, not sure if this is true? But mine seems excessive.

Thanks again

Here are some pictures to show the gap, it is less the 2 inch, I was wrong in my previous guess. It is a dead cold track in the pics, I was just trying to chop off the ice build up as well to get a better pic.

Check the gap at the rear wheels. The track should stick past the wheels evenly.
For the Viper shock will will need transfer rod bushings, limiter straps and the front shock eyelet from a Viper.I did this to my 97 .Very easy to do.
I run about a 1" sag in the track.
If you let out the limiter straps it will reduce ski pressure. Generally you should have about 10-12mm of thread sticking past the lock nut.
Did you check the W-arm?
What kind of track is it?

you need to rebuild that suspension ..and to do it right you need to shim everything with coffee can pieces made to fit at all bushing locations. There is a good wright up on how to do this in the tech forum! you will notice a much improved handling of this sled when done!
