This has been just a curiousity of mine. Has anyone (most likely Canadians) ever run the Jaws pipes on a Viper? I have always wondered about them. I had a chance a few years ago to pick up a set brand new for a reasonable deal but I just did not know much about them and have never heard of anyone on here that has used them.

Yeh I have heard they made good Doo pipes. I looked at the Viper pipes in the box at a friends speed shop and they looked sweet. I just wasn't sure being I had heard of no one ever running them around here. I had just blown mine with the CPR pipes at the time (sold them) and was shying away from pipes in general. Mine does run really good stock anyways.

I like my 04 MNT Viper with CPR triple pipes. My motor had work done by Lowell Horning. Sled works like a charm. The previous owner spent all the money on it. Only thing I did was ceramic coat the pipes and added a Polaris primary and Shaockwave secondary. The sled had nitrous on it but I said I dont need that...getting older, bones take longer to heal....lol
I personally knew the person I bought the sled from in Sept. 2008. Very well taken care of. The sled was bought new and setup by my friend who is the Yamaha dealer.

yeh, I had those on for part of a season. I personally did not like them. Great top end, flat on bottom. Also it was a pig on fuel and my jetting range was really tight. Great for racing, but not so great in the trails IMHO.
I do know they work good on BB780's though. A friend used to have that setup with the CPRs. In fact that sled is my avatar.....I took that photo.

i have a buddy who had bender on his viper, and another guy had jaws pipes on his, both were clutched, 196 studs, and the one with jaws pipes was faster, the other guy with bender is the head mechanic at yamaha dealership, both sleds were set up as well as they could be. jaws is the way to go, or simons cpr, they look cool and have heard great things on them
