OK so I went out for a ride tonight, trails were GREAT and the sled was AWESOME... When I got back in the garage, I did my post ride checks and noticed theat my belt is worn on the outer edge. I replaced the belt and decided to go back out for a while and break it in. I rode fairly easy, went out for about 1/2 hour, and it felt good. Rode for a while longer, and got on it a bit. Came home, checked the belt and it is worn some around the outer edge of the belt. It looks like about a 1/4 inch divet on all of the outer edge, each tooth. I also noticed that the secondary clutch with the drive shaft, has some play in it. Not much, but I can push it in and pull out by maybe 1/4 inch. Is this normal? and is the wear on the belt normal? The sled runs great, and rips, but I want to make sure that I don't have the beginings of a problem..... Thanks

check for play in your jackshaft bearing for play (up and down or front and back). Did you remove your engine this summer? perhaps it's not aligned. If you can, post pictures of the belt.

Thanks, got it in the garage thawing out, but will put pic of the belt up in a bit. I just got the sled this fall, but as far as I know the engine has not been out. Has 1300 miles on it.
