first off my 97 SX is now my backup sled that the wife rides every now and then. it has some crappy worn out cat skis that no matter what i do the darting will not go away enough to make the wife comfortable. so what do i replace them with?? mind you this needs to be a low buck fix.this sled got viper suspension front and rear last year. tried the skis off my vector and they are better but i am not sure about those either. going to put pilots on the 4 stroke.

dual wear bars really helped mine
Put a shim in the rear of the rubber mount of the ski. This add mores pressure to the rear of the carbide reducing darting.

i guess i failed to mention that these are arctic cat skis that are worn out. they have been shimed and it did not help. i do not want to buy dual runners for these worn out skis. guess i am asking what i should reolace them with? keep in mind this is now a back up sled that my wife rides once in a while. the darting needs to be a thing of the past or she just putts around. this has got to be a low buck/ preferably used parts deal.
Get some good used plastic skis from a newer sx or Viper and then shim them.
And you did mention that you had Vector skis on it too

The Dooley Slim Jim works great on my wifes sled, 2001 sx dlx. Night and day difference. She now will not ride unless She is on her sled with the Slim Jims. Al
