bim lights on 500xtc

The lights are real bim and it gets bimmer when it warms up does any one know what wires to ohm and what values are . Unplug volt/reg didnt do any thing . checked charging system at batt its @ 13.89 when i rev it up . :o|
 
I hear that crud can build up in the stator cover and reduce the light output. Try taking that off, then use a shop vac and a blow gun to clean it out if there is anything there. Otherwise, I guess rust can develop there and make the lights go dim.

I think this might be partly why my passenger grips on the venture don't heat well. I will head up north soon to try that.
 
I just put main seals in it (has about 8950 miles on it though it would be a good idea) just checked reg/rec @ blue wire nothing @ white wire nothing @ red wire @ idle 12.35 thinking its the reg/rec maybe it has voltage reg to . How do you test that :o|
