I posted a coulple of weeks ago,and got some great replys,so I figured my 8-10/12 second crank time when overnight cold in about 15 F weather is good.
Sunday,at -23F it took about 30-40 seconds,thank God I had a new batt.
Fresh high octane with a bit of dry gas.
Thrott, choke, oil pump cables are set perfect, carbs are clean with air mix screw at 1 7/8.
Question: when the starting passage is open with the choke on full,is the air mix screw still in play?? Seems to me my engine is waiting for fuel when cranking. Maybe open the screws to 2?
Perhaps a Pony starter would help
.
thx
