Under the hood is nothing special, got a pickle jar on the right side for the lub system and a 36mm round slide. Everything else appears as stock...If I had a picture for under the hood, I would show you.

The track was studded with studs no more than 3/8" over the lug of the track

Ok..since we moved to the snow belt..been havin some fun...drove a twin track Doo, 76 ..440 mod merc and...the 292 sno jet that wes leading Eagle River - but somthing broke.
The guy must have spent a million hours on it..really neat put together,,,fantastic job...as well as fast its a show piece...
Question...as I have a reference point after the weekend
He had the 1/2 mile Eagle Track gearing in..and was doing 61 on radar on a 1/3 mile track here ..nice turns...it was overrevving by about 200 rpm..
What kind of speed did your 250 hit...

I am not sure what it was hitting at the end of the stretch because no one was gunning it but I would have to say right around 60-62. When we ran it out on the lake for a good distance, we were getting speeds in the 65-66 range.

I am going to say we were running anywhere from 59-61 going down the straight because I just talked to my competition and they said they were getting 58 in the straight and I know we had more speed.

By the way just came back from a race in Rhinelander Wi., last weekend took a first in 250 and 340 fan. Took a third in 340 mod with a 338 GPX stock, getting it ready for eagle river next year.

Question: You have to run the stock secondary..is that true?
I guess the upgrades I'm thinking...36 mm carbs..Polaris primary..aftermarket track..thats it...
Good luck at ER...ya..the gpx has huge potential...in the day..we won 340 easy...400 and 440 usually 2nd or 3rd.(the same mercs of the day..in 400 and 440) ..well ....they gave us a 440 so that solved that problem.
They allowed us to race it in mod 340 on the Western On circuit..which we usually won...
