my temp light has been blinking a tps code. just seem to be at idle for the first few rides and now it is blinking most of the time. looking for a way to test the curcuit or wiring diagram. i'm wondering if it is a wire rub because it does do it all the time. just wondering if any one has had this problem.
Never had the problem but I have a brand new tps for a viper Maxdlx

I have the code too. Do you notice the engine missing at all in the mid range say trail riding at 40mph steady ? I am changing mine and the whole wiring harness next week. Theres a writeup on here on how to test the TPS. Yzou need a 4.5v power supply and a multimeter to do it.

if its not a sequence srx's are known for wearing a bad spot in the wiring, just pull the harness out from where it runs under the engine and you will find the rore spot, tape it all back up so its protected again and it will be fine. had to do it to my 2000 srx 2 years ago and hear it is a common problem. it was the same way, intermittent, couldnt figure it out for a while, good luck.

i find it missing in the bush about 5000-6000rpm after that it runs fine. and i had the wiring out from under the engine and repaired the wiring lastyear.
