Hi guys, I found this on the tech area. It's an old setup Turk wrote up..? (the top one).
He just sent me the bottom one and said to try it.
Question is- Is there anyone using either setup, and what would you guys recommend for my 99 SRX 700? I know you usually get the best results changing the helix.
Any input would help would be Great.- I'm trying not to spend the money on a clutch kit.

98-99 SRX700 Trail/lake
48/42 Helix, 89a-10 w/4.5g rivet in 1st hole and .8g in tip, 2-3 engagement shims, b-w-b primary spring, stock secondary spring.

I would run 00-02 srx clutching
8dn-20 weights with 4.5 gram rivets in both holes
w-w-w primary spring
stock secondary set up

Im running the lower setup, it is GREAT, I had a Bender clutch kit in mine before and it was alright, but the 8DN20 setup is a night and day difference...

Its all stock parts, mine engages at 3800... I've lost top end (hit about 100 on the speedo now), but I've also got a heavy 1.5" track, stock 98 gearing, long traveled front and rear, and 10,000 miles on my sled... I dont contribute the top end loss to the clutching at all

This sounds real good guys, do any of you know about what RPMs you cruse at with this mod? (stock is between 6 and 7 grand).

Oh, Forgot to ask if I would need shims as well. I don't see them in the parts list...
Thanks
