Srx versus Rx1

my brother has a 2004 rx1 with 2300kms, been bragging that he can toast me. i decided to give it a try, my 99 Srx 700 is stock with 20,000 km on motor untouched has hauck growlers, studded track with 144 studs . his machine is stock also with a 1 1/4 ripsaw.
conditions were 6 inches snow with hard pack underneath. First run around 500ft, i pulled away right from the hole, never looked back. second run we decided to try a rolling start at about 20km that way he couldn't blame the studs for his lost. Anyway, same outcome. He was pretty quiet after that.
Should i be able to this with a stock srx?has anybody else raced a rx1 with similar outcome? Input please!thanks! :letitsnow
 
easily beat rx1's, can beat apex's if i get good start, till about 100mph then here they come, but i usually get out of it after that, don't like to pinch it too long.
 
I have no issues with my srx taking down apex's, and rx-1's. BUT..........................

No way in HELL it able to keep up with the rx-warrior I'm building now.
 
Just got back from race in Reed City, Mi., smoked apex's all day, beat every F7, F8, Crossfire, ZR's, did get beat by A/C 1000, some very fast turbo Nytro's. Overall awesome day.

SRX makes more hp & is lower to the ground plus it,s lighter....so it should win...by a lot!!!
 
i wish yamaha would start making them again love these sleds just looking at one i see pure beauty with the beast under the hood

A "special edition SRX 700" run would be cool.

It is a 1000cc motor, but rated at 145 hp IIRC. The 700 srx is known to be 140+ hp.

The RX1 sits higher and weighs more than a srx does. Those 2 factors mean a lot for top end speed and acceleration. The SRX should beat rx1's easily, until maybe the top end where rx1's are fast.
