I had to pull home my 98 SRX 700 !!
Out for a 20 mile ride. Running fine but handwarmer is not working (only 1 was working this year)and thumb warmer feels really hot. I shut if ooff at the key 2x. Later stop and headlight is not working or the dash lights. Cross a road, slow down and it just bogs down.
Idles fine but when you hit the gas bogs down, will not move track.
Also the headlight is going on and off and the speedometer is NOT working now and the tach starts working(had not been working for a long time).
Changed plugs -same thing. Start and idles like normal, not fouling.
Pulled it home.
Any ideas where to start??
Thanks

how the heck do you get wire
OK - suspect its rub through.
how the heck do you get wire out. disconnected at hood. seems like its caught bad under the crank and coolent hose -silencer side.
Do have take off pipes, air box, ect???????????????
My hands don t fit anywhere in there!!!@

I believe you have to remove an motor mount?
no , i removed mine from under the motor and ran it around top side after checkin for a rub thru. no need to remove motor or mounts , it was by no means a walk in the park but its doable to remove without takin the engine out. skinny arms a re a big help.
