Went riding this weekend and my friends Vmax 700 was missing and breaking up bad at idle and low rpms. It really wouldn't run without giving it gas. It was making all kinds of noise, but when you hammer it and when it's at WOT it sounds and runs fine.
So what do you think? Carb issue? I would venture to say the carbs are not cleaned. It was fresh gas 89 octane. About 32 degrees.

Pilot circuits in the carburetors are partially clogged/dirty. Either that or the TORS is starting to act up.

Don't think it's the TORS. It runs fine at mid to WOT.
It does sound like a pissed off pilot circuit, not sure if a bad reed would do this???
TORS can be a funny duck sometimes. It may be worth the bypass just to eliminate it. Not saying it's the problem but.......it's really easy to eliminate. Just remember to fix the TORS if indeed it ends up being the issue.
