My friends 01 SRX 700 has a vibration/hum coming through the seat/floor boards of the sled.
I noticed it seemed to get louder with speed. My 96 Vmax makes a similar sound & vibration but no where near as loud or severe, same goes for my skidoo....
Is this normal? Didn't get a chance to see if anything is rubbing or broke.

sounds like you might have a bearing going bad somewhere. might want to check them all over real good.

Bogie bearing?
id start at the front, jackshaft , driveshaft , boggie wheels. driveshaft and jachshaft bearings tend top make alot of noise , boggie bearings are easiet to check so start there.

Are we just looking for play in these bearings? Not sure what visually indicates bad bearings.
You'll have to take them out and see how smooth they rotate. If there is any resistance or gritty feeling then you have two options. 1- Buy new bearings. 2- Service the bearings, take them apart clean them, repack them with grease, put them back together and voila...
You can get the 6205s and most other bearings at auto parts stores pretty cheap for the most part.

This applies to unstudded tracks:
The sleds I have that have a full clip track will do that if the track is too tight. Try loosening the track...it should only be tight enough to prevent ratcheting. If the front limiter straps are too long or broken it will cause a vibration as well.

The smaller inner bogies are chunked up pretty bad and the bearings are super tight, but they do move...Ordered a driveshaft bearing assuming since we will be in there to check it, might as well replace it..

My Viper was doing the same thing. I just had to change the front axle because the splines were twisted . The bottom bearing in the chaincase was also bad.
