So I am putting extended cables on my SXR so I can run the 4" riser with the pivot adapter. I got the throttle one all done, now I am stuck on this oil one. Do you think I can run the stock cable with the 4" riser and the pivot adapter, I only ask this because removing the oil cable seems like a PITA! And if I do have to swap out the old cable and put the longer one in, any tips on how this can be done fairly easy. I understand that everything has to be the same length so the pump is working with the throttle for oil usage.

i have ther same set up on my 2000,i bought 2 cable extenders one for each cable the only thing is i had to cut a tiny bit of the cable ends off the oil cablle to fit it into the powermadd extender kits its been flawless for the past 4 years.

Doesn't your SXR have two seperate cables for the throttle and oil. If it does then I think your throttle cable can be longer then the oil. When they are connected the throttle lever pulls on them equally. I am going to run the Viper throttle cable which has no 90 degree ben. I will route it the same place as the oil cable over the air box instead of the throttle going around the air box. I believe the Viper one is actually 1/2" shorter then the SXR cable, but going over the air box frees up alot of cable.

I have the power madd 3" with pivot and the stock cables are fine. I bought a MM cable but it is the same length as a 2001 SXR so it's hanging on the wall next to another longer one from Parts Unlimited..... I did not need either one. The cable or hose that will be a problem is the brake line, that is tight on my 3" rise. Doug
Yeah 2 cables, im hoping that the oil one will be long enough otherwise I am going to have to put the other one on. Which looks like to be a pain!

Cole, There is a groove dead center on top of your airbox. Try running your oil cable through that groove as opposed to around the right side of the airbox. That's what I did.

Oil cable is long enough with stock SXr routed centre of airbox. I have 7" riser with stock cable 01 SXr and 03 MNT Viper throttle cable, the only year with 2 cables seperate. needed longer brake line.
