Need Opinions/ Help Please

So I have a long story. I'm posting a question about my Rx1 here because I want an opinion on the 2stroke side. I have a 2003 Rx1 that it seems my luck has run dry on. Two weeks ago my buddy was riding my sled and tore the track and put a stud through my heat exchanger. So long story short I was able to get my front heat exchanger welded at a shop and I purchase a 1.325 cobra track from tracksUSA. I installed my track last weekend and my reverse wouldn't work after. On top of that I was riding this weekend in northern NH and I hit some big stutter bumps. I thought my track was loose because it sounded like it was hitting the top of my tunnel. I pulled over to the side of the trail and saw that the two inner rows of lugs on my track ( the rows on the inside of the clips) where almost all sheared off. This happened after only 70 miles on my new track! My w arm in the front of my suspension sheared in four spots where the welds are. After this broke it must have caught the inner lugs and tore most of them off. I don't know what to do now. I was wondering if you guy thought I could run the tack with 4 good rows of inner lugs? I also thought that if I installed extrovert drivers I could probably get by with 4 row of inner lugs rather than 6. I was curious to here what you guys think would be my best option. I really don't want to have to by another track since I don't have that much cash right now.

Get a good W Arm, have it welded up and reinforced. Buy a used track on ebay or craigs list. Put it all back together and go ride.
 
1st thing is make sure your track is open every window for anti ratchets, you may have to use 8 tooth drivers because 9 tooth anti's may be to big diameter, if 8 tooth needed then gearing will be different. can you find a good used track for the rest of the season?? By the time you go to anti's with these changes you could probably pick up used track, anti's are not cheap. is it still 121"?, find a track & fix your skid.
 
For your Reverse:
-ensure the fork has engaged the collar on the lower gear properly
-ensure the little "Ball Point Pen" sized spring is still installed properly in between the idler gears

In regards to your track:
- if its torn...it won't last long no matter what you do
-if the lugs only are damaged...run it like it is
-installing extroverts brings problems of their own...the purtuding lugs can hit the front suspension Xmember and/or the slide rail tips...But, once installed properly, the extroverts will definately grab the track more securely.

IMO...fix the W arm and, if you can't find the cash for a new track, ride it til that track is definately trash, then install another new one. Who knows, it could last longer then the sled. Don't throw extra money at extroverts unless you were going to do it anyway.

I do have a w arm in my basement that will fit that came of an sx 700 that I used to have so that is probably the only good news I have. Just wondering about the track. I just put two links up of pictures

thank you. the lugs are ripped off but the track is still all together. none of the fibers in the track were damaged. thanks again

does anyone know if the 8 tooth extrovert 2.52 pith by Wahl brothers part # 1241-0006 are the same diameter as the stock cogs on a 2003 rx1 LE 121" or should I go for the 9 tooth. clearance is minimal with my 1.325 track and the stock cog so i don't want to have clearance issues.
 
are you getting 8 tooth drivers, as mentioned earlier you will need to re-gear, unless you already have 8 tooth in there. I feel for you with a new track & probably new studs you're not ready to put a used track on. anti ratchet drivers use the clips but also use the inner lugs to drive off. Do you know if every window is clipped/open??
 
If clearance is an issue...go with the 8 tooth extrovert drivers, that will also avoid possible rail tip + front xshaft interferance issues.
With 8 tooth drivers your gearing will effectively be approx 9% lower, if you don't change gears, also your speedo will over indicate about 9% as well[even with a gear change]

it is a fully clipped track. I actually loved the handling of the track before the incident. I'm not sure what I currently have on the sled for a cog right now but i know that it is the stock cog if that helps

would you know if the 9 tooth extrovert are bigger in diameter than my stock cog or are they the same?
 
Yes the 9 tooth anti's will be bigger diameter from outside of tooth to tooth. I recently went from 9 to 8 tooth & the total o.d. of the teeth is very close to the diameter of the 9 tooth stock drivers. I was just looking at mine & the tip of the tooth is quite close to the W arm mount shaft, I don't know how much clearance a RX-1 has but my srx is close.
