Can someone give me the low down, or their setup/configuration on type of risers they are using on their Viper? So many options. What I'm looking to do is raise mine (stock bars) 4-6 inches. I hear that stock cables allow up to a 3" rise. Can I get some clarification? Plus feedback on what you use would be great.
I have a Rox 3.5" pivot riser on my SRX with the stock cables rerouted. I'm about 6'1 and I find it's plenty for stand up riding.

I have a powermadd pivot with a 2" block so a total of 3 1/4 " no issues with cables. that is about max you can go before cable extensions on the viper.
Do a search on Viper handle bars. There are numerous posts with the info you are looking for.

I keep looking at my SRX every time I take the carbs off or do any work to it, how do you reroute the cables? they go straight from the bars to the carb/oil pump.
I'd like to get a little more rise out of mine, I have a 35* 3" fixed riser on my Viper and it still isnt tall enough for me (im 6'3")... those cables I can see rerouting similar to the SRX, through the airbox...

The re-routing is around the steering column. At least thats what I did to make mine work. The parking break cable is not long enough though. You will either have to fab something or ditch it. I did install an aftermarket brake cable (Powermadd) and the break feels tighter and more positive.

I was able to put a 4" riser in my 02 viper, don't remember having to do anything with the cables. That seemed to be the max though. I work in a machine shop so I was able to make my riser out of aluminum then painted it black

i have the pivot riser and then made a 5.5" riser block at work and then added a set of apex bars with the bent in hooks. overall the bars are raised like 6 inches over stock i think and its perfect for stand up riding.

Thanks for the responses. Turns out my co-worker had his Nytro stock 6" riser that I could use. So I lopped it in half to 3" and threw it on, cables were just right. Cost: Freebeee......na-daaa

yeah i got a 02 viper. i bought a 4 inch riser and it didnt work. so i went and got a 2 and that barerly worked. if u do a riser, I would suggest what we did was we took a 2x4 and put in rite under the seat below the tail lights. of course we took two more and cut them to fill the gap. we painted to black and screwed it down and let me tell ya. world of difference. il never go back. gives it a lil of that new ride feel
