Just a curious question guys about the PILOT SCREWS. Does
turning them down by 1/8th turn decrease the amount of fuel the
engine gets at idle to 1/4 throttle?

"Fuel screws" on the Yamaha TM carbs, primarily, control the "fuel" flow from idle to 1/4 throttle.
Opening the fuel screw enrichens the air/fuel ratio
Closing the fuel screws leans the air/fuel ratio
