Ooops, Mod please move to general / vintage section.
To get your hands on an SSR you'd have to have some pretty cool contacts...........Twister was the way to go........

Those twisters were very quick for only a 440.

The 77 SRX was the leader of the pack.

trail twister was a fan cool, sno twister was a liquid and very quick.Mac said:Didn't those Twisters came in two flavors. Free air and fan. Which engine?
We had a few of the merc twisters at home when I was a kid. 400cc CCW fan. They were ok sleds. Always wanted a sno-twister.
440 sno-twister was a liquid and race only. Think you had to have a deal with a dealership kinda like the polaris starfires. Seen a few of the sno twisters at the vintage races and they are damn fast for an old sled....

I had 2 MERCS and the one that I had studded would hall a$$.... I could run with my buddies Ski Doo 600 formula 3... One of the funnest sleds I've ever owned...I miss them both...Well until I sit on the Viper with that M-10 under it...LOL
