I was wondering if anyone knows which type of rivets should be used when attaching the M-10 aluminum support plates in the tunnel? I used Aluminum ones. I didn't think that there was any stress on the actual plates. I'm just wondering if I have to replace them with steel ones?

Thanks,
Andy

I am pretty sure they gave me painted steel rivets, but you are correct there is not that much shear stress on those plates its more to give it material thickness so the bolts dont trear thru the tunnel.

Well I guess I'll leave them alone for now. I'll just be sure to keep an eye on them.

Thanks for the reply

I had the same question so I called Fast and they said to just use normal aluminum rivets. There's about 4 layers of metal at that point with the large suspension bolt and multiple rivets to spread the load so the shear will be minimal.
