Hey guys i just picked up a 98 SRX and was wondering the best setup and tricks for doing 1000 foot radar runs. I was getting low 90's with it the other day in 660' but would rather run 1000 footers. I am currently geared at 20 - 40 and clutched with a G helix and a green spring set on number 6 and stock primary clutch. Any other tips would be great. Anything at all to get that extra mile an hour
I was also wondering if anyone here has ever machined there clutches so that they open quicker and wider. Id like to run in the stock class.

Who,s turn is it this week to answer this exact same question????

The clutching i can handle. I was just lookin for any other suggestions. I have been searching and finding quite alot on the site. Just looking for anything more that can help.
Type in the search " 110 mph / 2000 clutching help"
Lots of good info there that you could apply to 1000" radar runs

TRY THAT 8BU-10 SET-UP I POSTED. NO REASON AT ALL THEY WOULD NOT FLY IN A 98, ESPECIALLY IN 1000 F.T., NOW YOU MIGHT HAVE TO TWEAK SLIGHTY FROM WHAT I DID, BUT I TELL YA THESE WEIGHTS HAUL ON THE BIG END. 3:16 (yammie tony)

man im really getting tempted to swap out my H/C set upp.... do alot of you prefer some othe 8bu set ups over the h/c?
mine has awesome low end all trail set up... but on those longer straights... it taps out around 150-160...then start climbing slowly after that
