my movable sheave on the primary is cracked. could i just buy a new movable sheave and put it on my clutch? would it need to be balanced? or should i just buy a complete used clutch?

I had the same thing except my clutch bust apart (what a mess) after pricing out parts and used clutches I decided on buying an aftermarket cluth.

don't go after market stick with OEM much easer to tune,look around you may be able to find just that half but it'll be tough most used clutches are complete.madzx2 said:
a new piece will run ya around $200 from a dealer,so you may want to check classifieds here or ebay for a complete used one then just switch your weights,springs over.
i think u can buy some sheave from rx1 ..dealer told me they are more durable

YOU CAN GO EITHER WAY. PROBLEY FIND A GOOD USED COMPLETE CLUTCH CHEAPER THAN THAT SHEAVE FROM YAMAHA. 3:16 (yammie tony)

well i found a complete clutch from a member here and its the same price as a new movable sheave.
