All I've heard is how this skid can give awesome transfer. I'm spinning and trenching like crazy! No real hook up at all. Also, Fox floats up front and having trouble getting ski pressure (carbides are doing nothing). Any help is greatly appreciated. Here is my setup:

01 SRX
1.25' ripsaw with 144 studs up the middle
09 Phazer RTX fox floats up front 75 psi ea.
ZX2 set on 2 and 5. also tried 1 and 5. Shocks on 3
weight with gear 205 lbs

Zach, Have you tried 2/3 or 2/4? I have mine set for flat trail handling- 2/5 on the coupling and I think 3 on the shocks. Not much transfer. I don't do much powder or offtrail but I can finally keep the skis planted in the corners with these settings and by cranking up the front shock springs(adding ski pressure). But I remember when I first got it, I had it at 2/3 or 2/4 and it would transfer like crazy pullin the skis up. Problem is, it doesn't soak up the chatter bumps as well at 2/5. What knid of riding you doing? We rode Buxton/ Gorham trails today. They do a really nice job grooming, but the trails were trashed from so much traffic

Thanks M.R. Reading through the setup book I was under the impression that the 1-2 setting was for transfer and the 3 through 5 were for ride height and skid stiffness. I will give 4 a shot. I have to say, I've tried both 1 and 2 for settings and really feel 1 plants the front end best. Thinking I may have to crank up the front shock pressure also. Brand new carbides and they don't bite for sh!t. I'm hoping 1/4 with fronts set at 100 psi to be what I'm looking for.

I'm in the process of buying a camp in Rangeley so not much riding around here yet and maybe not much for a while after todays rain. I too tend to run the flat trail for the majority. Never dared to go off trail much with these Yamahas. Hate to say it, but I see a 2010 800 E-Tec XP in the future. Thanks for the advice
