had to remove heads because one of the seals in the center cylinder was letting a drop every once in a while of anti freeze by,even after a re torque. How do things look to you anyways?

looks good to me. the white crust (aluminum corosion) stuck to the orings is your leak.clean up the oring groves good and the heads and a new set of inner and outer orings and ya should be good to go.

as I am typing here today,I have a unwanted Trojan trying bto hack my computer..it's being stopped by my system..but keeps on trying.. :o| Computer already went into a shutdown once to protect information. But I am protected so far from keyboard stroke hacking..dam bastards.

great!!!!!Remember I really haven't ridden the SRX this year yet.Last season's end I was doing about 7 wot 1 mile runs on a 7 C day in April. At least I don't have any piston chipping around the edges as others have..lol

thanks..good to hear that. How do I clean the groves properly in the cylinders, don't want to gouge anything. Also the head surface is a little rough, how do I clean that up?Can I use any solution on my rags or run a block with 2000 grit across(which I really don't want to do). There's a good chance the old o-rings would work again, but am ordering new ones from rich anyways.

When I have my engines apart, I clean the components in the sink with SOS pads. If you feel the Head surface needs more then that, you can LIGHTLY wet sand the head surface with 400 grit wet/dry emery cloth on a flat surface like "The Brides" kitchen island...BUT DON'T GET CAUGHT!!!
LOL!!
You may get cut off for a day or two!

use a brass brush in the grooves,,

make sure all corrosion is cleaned up.did you see anything in that area that would have caused the leak??

seems to be alot of corrosion in that groove..Don't have a friggin brass brush handy... :o| .Iwould use 2000 grit before 400 I would think..but have both
