will a little brass wheel on a dremel be good to clean grooves out, shouldn't really scratch anything, would put on slow speed.THe wheel I have is about 3/4 inch diameter and slightly flattened back from use.I could purchase a new one.I really was thinking to clean out the grooves good and maybe re use the old o-rings since they still look good..what you think.I know I have read from others that they have re-used them o-ring...YES or NO...

well I cleaned everything up well, installed the original o-rings back because the new ones from rich didn't come in on time this week. All is well so far,had it running, exchangers all warm..air out of system .Cooling off the motor outside, will bring back in to re-torque heads.Got the 8bu's in and |I think it'll fly now.Got to go install ice scratchers on both sleds yet tonight.Tons of snow coming here this weekend, nephew is riding with me on the 600..should be a fun weekend.

well I took the heads of the SRX again because from the riding done last weekend,I was burning up antifreeze. When I took the heads off the center 0-rings were deformed and antifreeze was sneaking thru.Maybe why I couldn't get the sled running fast that day.
Put the new 0-rings on but was worried they wouldn't stay seated in the grooves. So I put them on and removed a few times to see what the 0-rings were doing.Applied a little grease to them also to help them stay in place. It all looked fine and finally tightened the heads down again.I lost abought 1 inch in the level in reservoir last time out.Today I tested for about 23 km's and came back. The fluid level is now staying put,so the 0-rings are sealing properly.
With the new snow we got it is awesome riding. Can go across the farmers fields for over a mile at a time, fully pinned. In 5 inches of fresh powder I am getting to almost 95 mph on speedo. The rpms are over-reving to 8700 with that 51/43 helix.Got to take it off and put the stock 47 helix back in I think.Primary clutch is fully loaded with 4.5g both holes with stock spring.
When I pin it in the loose snow, traction really hard to get as we really don't have a hard packed base below that.I launch at 8500,drop down to about 82- to 8300 and climb back up to 8700.
This weekend is going to be fun,3 of us cruising in Yamaha's in this nice powder. Will try and race my stepson with my sx600 against his v-max 600 and see what gives.I have a 1.25 track which will bite more.
