I have been wandering around this site for a month or two and have found the posts very helpful. New to the riding world. Kids are gone now. I have some friends that sled and decided to join them. I bought a '02 Viper in Sept. Checked and serviced all the usual stuff. Runs very good but I have seen the hot light come on a few times. I only ride hard for short periods then a little on the soft side. Some of the trails here are hard packed and linked by means of going along side a road for a hundred yards or so.(no cooling snow) The light comes off shortly after I get into some deep snow. I just made an E-bay purchase of a rear heat exchanger from a '00 SRX, is this the best exchanger to use on this sled or should I resell and look for one that was an upgrade kit for a viper for ease of installing and best cooling capacity. I know I should get protectors when I use studs. I know there have been posts about this before, sorry for bringing it up again but I was a little unclear of what unit would work best, even though its after the fact. Thanks in advance. My friends all ride new doo and poo, I like the Yammie and don't want to give them a reason not to.
