99 srx pistons vs 01 piston

i need some pistons and cylinders for my01 srx i found some for good price but there out of a 1999 is it the same as a 01 i was planning on changing just he ones that blew up and change the rings in the other one?????

I thought the 00-02 pistons were stronger, because of a different coating.

all i know is that thew part numbers from 2000 to 2001 are the same for the cyl and head the pistons have a different number from 2001 and 2002, and the 98 and 99 are not the same numbers fas the 2000 and up

the difference is the coating netefrog spoke of, i think its an antiscuff coating or something, physically the piston is the same

the pistons are the same for all years but the cylinders and heads are not. port timing and compression changed in 2000 and up.
