Was wondering if there are supposed to be some guide pins (As shown in photos below) in the inner cylinder holes or are there supposed to be just the two on the outside cylinders??


Mine had two guide dowels just like in your picture. Check the gasket.It will have two larger holes for the guide dowels as well.

There should be 2 locating dowels in the top of each cylinder. They are need to align the head with the cylinder.

jim, that is correct for srx individual heads, but on a stock viper head, only 2 total are needed. you need 1 on the mag cylinder and 1 on pto cylinder. use the hole in the mag cylinder, closest to the pipes and the hole thats closest to the clutch on the pto cylinder.
