can't seem to get past the 140 km/hr mark.Stock rivets are 2.4 inner and 3.6 outer.I dropped down 1 tooth upper from 20 to 19 tooth because of 1.25 ripsaw track. Now I have 4.5 and 4.4 outer..running stock 47 helix ,red spring at 80.My rpm at launch shoots to 8600,drops to 8200 and slowly climbs to about 8400.I am to heavy on top so I will drill a small hole in the rivet to bring it down to 3.6 gr.I want to go to 70 wrap, that will decrease rpm's even more. What about the inner rivet..is it to much with the setup I am running, could drill that one down also to lighten up.
If I go back to stock..2..4 and 3.6 outer with 19 tooth and 1.25 track..what do you think my rpm's would be approx?

oh noooooooooo your blowing your head again on clutch lolllllllllllllllllll...i'm still looking for snow lolll

use to get to 160-165 kms per hour, not now.I need to rework the primary again. We have snow, lot of it is hard and drifted of course.Once I get my SRX o-rings from rich,I will put heads back on.Install the clutch with the 8bu-oo`s and bury the needle on the River or DIE!!!!! trying.

hey blue

would love to see your set up once u get here dailed in i have a 00 sxr 600 aswell and am looking for a good set up let me know how u perform mph and what it consist of you could pm me or post for ty ers can see also cause ther is not too much set ups for this sled thanks

later today will do some clutch work.Probably will switch red spring with a green one first and wrap to 70 as starters. And lighten the tip slightly by drilling a hole thru the outer rivets.

how come I knew you were gonna say that..that was what I was thinking last night. Thanks for the confirmation.I went to Wildwood Yamaha today and was looking at the Nytro's.I just can't see myself riding one of those. They really look weird to me.They haven't been selling much sleds this season, prices are being reduced $3000 on some of them.

uggly sled lollllllllllll

well got out today, put on 80 km's already. There is still a slight over reving going on with 3.6 rivets in each hole.Twisted the 2ndary to 70 now..still rpm's high.Out of the hole hits 9000 and drops back to 85-8600 and stays there.I finally got it up to 150 km/hr along the ditch and it was reving at 8600.Need it to be a slight lower and climb to 8500.Probably remove 3,6 outer and put in 4.5 again... :o| Clutch's are running cool to.

Hey Blue a buddy of mine was lookin' for more top end out of his '99 SX 600 and I put him on some 8CR-10's. Better mid range pop and good top end. I don't know what he ended up with for rivets when everything was said and done so I can't help you with that. Just another idea for ya. Those weights came out of a '99 SX 500.

I'll check what kind of profile they have, but basically if I am hitting 90 to 95 mph on a 600,that's all I probably will be getting.Just want the clutching spot on and see if any difference yet. This is my back up ditch banger sled.I will spend more serious time tuning the SRX for top speed and $$$$$ lol

8cr,s are an aggressive profile. they also come stock in 600/700 mountain maxes. They work well as does any other weight loaded to pull optimum rpm,s.

I installed 4.5 in the tip tonight, that should get me in the desired rpm zone again..Like to top out between 8400-8500.And that will be it for this sled, going back to the SRX and get it back together..need to run the damn sled this year and see if it still runs as good as the last.

Hi bluemonster1. Are you using the clutch on the sxr 600 that was binding on the srx last year (or the year before that) or what?

If you were reading my posts.I rebuilt all 3 clutches in summer of 08.All new parts installed right thru.I think because of the miles on the sled it is feeling a little tired, but really is perky from 0-140 for sure.
