Setting timing on 77SRX 440 a

looking for some help on setting the timing on my 77 SRX. What RPMs should you set timing? Any idea of stock specs or a good starting point would be?. All stock motor. Thanks in advance for your help

not sure but dont you just use a dial indicator on the PTO cylinder to find TDC and set it from there????? I dont think you set it with the engine running....

Yammie tony near rochester. I remember someone from the rochester area that came to kasog lake to race years ago was that you?

There also was someone from out your way that had a srx 1976 340 with 440 motor and we raced in clayton sometimes.
