I did the SX cooler install on one of the Vipers today. took about 4 hours. Took my time & did it right. First Lifted rear end of sled with floor jack & suctioned out coolant, removed seat ,riser ,flap and plastic skirt. Drilled out rivets on cross over tube. Removed tube.

On Install :
I had to put on 5/8 hose (due to smaller connections on SX cooler) Dropped in boiling water to make pliable.
Had to dent rear grab bar on sides (marked with lines) with Ball peen hammer so sides of SX cooler would not rub on bar & give clearance.
Used a drill and reamer to open up bleed bolt hole, for clearance.
Mark and drill holes to mount cooler ,used Yamaha rivets to attach.
Reinstall grab bar, flap,etc, etc.
Hopefully this install will help with cooling in marginal snow conditions.

Just a note, Added a SX cooler to the other Viper today, Took about 2 hours ,....... now that I know what I am doing.
I did not have to make clearance for the cooler corners / grab bar rail on this one, I guess each cooler is slightly different.
Entire install went smooth.
Thanks to all who gave advise in previous posts !
All I need now is some snow !!!!!
The lake & area trails are glare ice, no snow on lake at all.

did u convert ur viper to a 136 and u added the other cooler?
No on convert to 136.
Both Vipers are 121, We usually have marginal snow conditions in central WI, every once in awhile the "HOT" light will come on , so I added SX coolers (that I purchased from TY members parting out sleds)to both machines hoping that will help them run a little cooler.

Ok, yeah I just bought a front and rear cooler from a TY member and plan on doing that along with pushing it out to 136. Just asking.

There is a lot of info on this site about tunnel extensions & coolers, If you do a "search" In both SXV and TECH section, you should be able to find past posts, some with pictures.
Let me know if I can help in any way.
