I changed my chaincase oil the other week and I noticed a little puddle of lube on the floor. When I took the cover off I noticed the seal was a little chewed on the inner side of the seal, so I dont see this being where it leaks. Is there another spot where it could be leaking from? It is not coming from the drain plug and I only notice it after I ride, does the viscosity change with riding?

Yes the viscosity changes a bit when it heats up from riding. Other than the cover seal, and the upper and lower bearing seals, there really isn't anywhere else it can leak from. I would replace that cover seal even if it is only chewed on the inside, it could still be leaking into the seal.

Is there any chance the bearing seals could leak? (Although thinking about it those would leak on the inside of the tunnel.) I think I will change the cover seal and see what happens.

You got it. If the upper bearing seal is leaking it would be under the cowl and if the lower one is leaking it would be in the tunnel. I would replace that cover seal and look at where the upper shaft goes into the chaincase to see if theres any signs of leakage. From what you describe, I would say it's the cover seal. Clean up both surfaces (cover and chaincase) and put the new seal on. Make sure the cover seal doesn't double over on you.
