got some guys wanting to see the cover plate on my mega power heads ....i thought all of them come with this ...but talked to a few guys and none have ever seen this ... says TEAM YAMAHA SRX engraved into it ..

It was a 75 dollar option when they came out if I remember right. Mine said Mega Power on it,LOL
 
OK thanks for the info ... just trying to catch up on posting pictures for guys who wanted to see a few things .....working on pics for you jeff ;)!

they were made by mega power. a guy named mark giametti. but they dont make them anymore.
 
I made that torque plate and had the heads and plate anodized blue for my 2002 srx. I also was running a set of Mega Power ported cylinders and clutch kit at the time and the sled ran real strong but I sold the heads and cylinders probably 4 years ago and went to a 780 CPR BB. The team Yamaha I just engraved on there with a Fadal cnc machining center so its nothing from the race team or Mark from Mega Power.
 
my 00 srx is running mega power heads and was ported by mark. it is by far the quickest, fastest, meanest, nastiest sled ive ever ridden!! not sure of the exact chambers i have but it rips pretty good!
 
I don't remember the # on my chambers either but they were for low elevation and 93 octane fuel. The 780 was stronger in the midrange but was not as dependable as stock pistons and the ported cylinders. I sold off the 780 bb and I am currently back to stock.
 
What does a mega head do? is the dome in it smaller? to help increase the power of the explosion in the head?
