98 srx 700 overheat Help!!!

I Recently Had An Overheat Issue. My Sled Has 8700 Miles And Has Never Had A New Water Pump Or Thermostat.

The Red Light Comes On, Goes Off When I Hit Super Deep Snow, Then Comes Back On. The Coolant Bottle Is Full!!!

Trail Conditions Were Loose Snow So I Assume Enough Was Getting Spun Around That Front Heat Exchanger??

Any Suggestions Would Be Great!!

Start out with the cheap fixes first, try a thermostat and bleed the cooling system. I've had thermostats go out at far less miles than your sled. Could be not opening up quite far enough, but still kinda working. Water pump is a big job, so keep your fingers crossed.

Does The Case Need To Be Split To Replace The Waterpump??

I Am On A Trip For The Next 2 Weeks And Can Fix It If Needed-i Also Have A Spare '01 Srx To Ride So I Am Not Totally Screwed....then When I Blow That Up I Will Work On My Girlfriends Srx Lol.

I have never seen or heard of a srx waterpump failing but the thermo has failed twice on my srx.

No, you don't need to split the cases if it is a water pump, but it's still a lot of work. Do some searches and you will learn what's involved.
