I have read alot of threads about over reving and still cant seem to get mine controled.
I had the primary rebuilt, and installed the 4.5g rivots. Im wondering if the secondary is dirty or sticking or worn out will that cause over reving as well?
The sled also seem to be reving high when just cruising down the trail. As in 60mph is 8000 rpm. Maybe that is correct, but i cant remember.
other info is an 03 Viper with a ton of mileage on it, and i just installed a 1 3/8 track on it.

Need more info, what is your gearing?, did you go to 8 tooth drivers for the track- that will change gear ratio, what springs- broken spring? can't answer questions until we know the situation.

the sled is all stock, stock clutching, stock gearing, no broken springs, stock drivers.
The sled also has about 15000km's on it.. would a weak secondary spring cause over reving?

Primary was just rebuilt, it over reved before it was rebuilt as well..
No Clutching has been altered, its all factory springs and weights and helix. What ever the sled came with it still has. I have owned it since new so i know nothing has been altered.
I dont have the sled to look at right here, so i cant tell you what the wrap is, other then stock settings.

I installed a 4.5g, from all the threads i was reading that is what everyone said to install. But in my case it didn't make a difference.
Any idea on what i should install to bring my back down to the proper rpm?

Yes, just this year it started doing this, as in the 1st ride out. Last year it was normal but this year its been 9000rpm.
No black marks on the clutch, the motor has never been out either. The belt is new this year as well. I cant think of any other info to say at the moment to help out.

Clean the secondary
If the secondary is sticking and can't open it has to over rev to reach 60. No matter how hard the primary pulls. Take the secondary off clean it check the bushings, buttons. Put it back together per stock specs, (turns holes) in the tech section and you should be all set.
