rode 130 miles last saturday no problems was -10c lost of snow on the trails. Then on my way back are pack was haulin *** on this back road sled was runnin sweet all of a sudden i smell somethin and almost right after my warning light starts to blink on and off! i stop pop the hood and she was smokin hot so i shut it down. I instantly started to throw snow on my tunnel but the tunnel was cold as ice? The motor was so hot it was melting my gloves to the spark plugs! And heres somethin else my thermostat/ sensor was melted out of the head! And all of the coolant was gone. I honestly had no warning of overheating untill my light started to flash it never went on solid. My sled still feels like it has lots of compession but it won't fire up (tried the next morning) SO what am i in for? complete rebuild? Rings? im gonna pull the head off tonight to inspect it. Will the motor not run without that main sensor? Any advice would be great.

Me and my Dad just flipped her over he had a hunch and sure enough dam stud went threw the front heat exchanger!!! a huge hole it would have takin no time to drain all my coolant the way we were tearin. I am not lookin forward to gettin that thing out its burried and riveted. And a nice $500 bill
