Ovation Carb settings

wow hello Lasse
got mine done from your advice as you may remember
but i'm trying to help this guy as you helped me so Please join in
Hello ! :2strokes:
I still have the Ovation/CS-340 and it is still running strong.

lasse if ya still have your pics on here show him or tell him all you did . i mentioned you was running premix and i was still using injectors
I still have the pictures, but right now they are on a computer with a faulty motherboard, so I can not download them :o|

Just took me a while to get back on. The ports are for the oil I see. So either install a T on the oil line or plug them and run premix.

Still interested in the jetting.

yes exactally > i didnt have to change gets on mine because it was off a 340 enticer same motor basically and mine runs perfect > now i have heard to run one size bigger gets if ya running premix so you might wanna ask Lasse what he had to do cause he is running premix

So I can't find any local et340 carbs. If I'm buying a new mikuni, which do i want? 32? 34?

I'll check jetting forthcoming weekend when I go to the cottage.

So I can't find any local ET-340 carbs.
FYI:
ET-340 was not delivered from the factory with Mikuni VM-32 or Mikuni VM-34 carburetors !
...However, you must use the intake manifold from an ET-340 to get this Mikuni conversion to work on a Ovation/CS-340.

I'm looking at some older take of vm34's from another brand sled. Those should work right? With proper jetting that is... help?

I think the many year wedge Indy twins (400) and XLT (580 monoblock triples) used 34mm.

I'm pretty sure the XLT special and XCR (598) used 36 or 38s. May want to measure them before you buy.

Can't seem to get rid of the smily face. Should read 598.

That's what a lot of them are. Can't pass on a $25 used carb and another $25 on a rebuild when new is $100 plus jets.
