One line of advise... don't let her eat the wedding cake! ;>)
also, mom-in-law is a good indicator of what's to come.
10 years married, 19 together. If you're like me, you'll have more fun with the boy than her. It ain't all skiddles and unicorns, but all in all waiting for the one closest to the right one (is there such a thing as THE right one?) was worth it.
Congrats!

Congrats and best of luck to you both. I was with mine for 8 years before i proposed. Did it on top of Silver mountain in MI north of Sidnaw while snowmobiling. Figured if she said no after all that time i'd just push her off. LOL. It'll be 10 years married this fall. My brother said some days he would divorce his wife but then he would lose half his sh$t. It's sh$t but he likes it all in one pile. Did you know Albert Einstien was married and divorced. One of the most inteligent men in history could not figure out marriage but yet the rest of us try.

Good look, of course like everything it has pros and cons...
Nicko is a genious. This is so true. All of my divorced friends thought the grass was greener or the gal left them because of stupid behaviors....
You know what?????? They are all worse off now. Every one of them. They are all miserable, depressed, and waaaaaaay more broke.
Get married and stay on the straight and narrow path, despite the temptations. You'll be happier and better off in the long run.
Just my humble observations!

Been married for 33 years. I dated my wife for 5 yrs. prior. I have owned
motorcycles & sleds since I was 16 yrs.old . Before I got married I told her this is what I do & don"t stop me from doing these things. I told her right
there, if you have a problem with this then we cannot get along. Till this day
I still continue to do my thing & also got my wife involved in both sports.
Tell her in the beginning this is the way it is. If she does not like it find someone that does.

Congrats! I've been married 31years...its all what you make it. Has been very good for me...no regrets!
But here's a heads up warning.
When you first get married the Bride puts a rope around your neck about 100ft long and ties the other end around a tree.[that represents your hobbies + interests when you were single]
Every time you give something up[like fishing trips with the guys, your motorcycle ect] she pulls the slack in and reties the rope and you never get it back..
So if you give up too much stuff the next thing you know your face is pulled hard against the tree + you can't breathe!
The Moral to the story? Don't ever give her any slack in the rope and it will all be good!

2 sayings go with marriage
What's yours is hers and whats hers is hers
Wife gets you during the week, and snowmobiling gets you on weekends
Haha. Have a great and long marriage!!

When dealing with women, there are only two rules......
1. Women are always right
2. If ever a dispute, refer to rule number one
If you follow these rules, you will have a long happy marrage
Joking aside, congrats on the plunge.

I am also getting married in september to a great woman and someone who makes more money than me ;-) Our wedding cake topper is a woman grabbing the man by the shoulders as he is trying to escape, And I also have a 1/12 model of a 98 srx that will be my get away vehicle!!!
