VERY Hard-to-Start when cold SRX 700

I am sure there was a long thread on hard starting SRX's. I remember reading something about the choke plunger on some carbs circuit was different sized. Al

Mine takes 3-4 pulls with full choke in almost any temp!
This fall I started out with the carbs and tank completly dry and filled it with fresh gas, then it took 12 pulls to get it to run :-)
Oh, and it´s an ported 700 -99.

Not to revive an old thread, but this is helpful. We have the same issue as OP trying to start without pulling plugs and pouring gas down cylinders. We changed the fuel pump thinking that was the problem but is not. It gets more than enough fuel when choking as the plugs are wet and has spark. As Tony told me, looks like we need to check choke adjustment and powervalves. Unlike the OP, mine doesnt even want to start in the summer, but runs great after you run and its warm. If you pull on it enough, with three guys taking shifts, it will eventually fire up. Runs great when started, best run in 1000' is a 109mph, just frustrating.

When was the last time plug caps were changed? Maybe its not getting enough spark. I changed mine and it made it start easier.
