klotz hitrate

yamahahaha.... alot of people dont beleive octane booster does what it says...

I for one dont overly beleive in them... but some people do...

But I have been refered to use octane booster by a well known engine builder on here and says to use half a bottle per gas tank in my srx and it will take the edge off the shity fuel if I get some and prevent as much damage...

So in my opinion from what ive been told by mrviper... is it wont increase overly the octane as it states... but can help it out some

two caps of the koltz will bring 94 up to 104 it works great, dont knock it if you have not tryed it the koltz is the only stuff i will push the other shuff is sh*t

oh and the two cap fulls is in a full tank of fuel on a sled about 35-40L
"Klotz® Octane Booster is a concentrated tetraethyl lead substitute formulated to increase the octane rating of gasoline up to 10 numbers or more" thats right off there site

Octane Booster: 1 oz. Octane Booster per gallon of gasoline will raise the octane by 2 ½ numbers. For optimal performance match the octane to the engines compression ratio. Use octane index A.K.I. and R+M/2. Octane Booster is effective in inverse ratios to the octane lev

UUUMMMM...10 numbers increase is more like 91.0 to 92.0 they use tenths in the octane reading.

There is no way 2 capfulls of anything is going to make race fuel out of crap. Unless the cap is the size of a tanker truck.

The klotz hitrate kl-450 is awesome i used it all last season and it worked great. 1/2 gallon to 4.5 gallons of pump makes 5 gallons of 103-105 and its much cheaper than vp.

I am in no way a fuels expert, and I dont know if or how these additives work. But I do know one thing for sure. I will gladly spend $11-$14 per gallon on my race fuel becouse I know it is consistant from gallon to gallon. Pump gas is all over the board, and I used to play the game of mixing pump and race fuel to save a few dimes. But ever since I stopped doing that, I have had ZERO fuel related meltdowns. Sure, I only use around 15 gallons of fuel per race season. But in all reality its saved me alot of headaches.

I was the one that called it snake oil. I have looked into the octane boosters in the past but have never been able to find a third party test on them that showed that they worked as they claim. I dont think klotz was one that i looked up so maybe it is a great as it states. Most of the testing i reviewed stated that octane boosters were bunk and caused deposits on your sparkplugs. I dont own any race motors but i run av gas in my srx and my wifes viper near 100% in srx and 50/50 in viper. Never a dirty carb and never a dcs light. pistons show a lot of wash. Cost 3.99 per gal at local airport.
