wanna launch hard for drags

Hey fellas, I finally picked up the 99 srx. Its got 120 studs, magnum roller secondary, and hauck growlers, seems to me everything else is stock. 125 psi on all 3 cylinders and it revs to about 8500 give or take a few..seems to run strong but i would like more launch. I looked at the transfer rods and they are adjustable with an allen key and then you just spin the nut up or down. Are these aftermarket or did the 99's have adj. transfer rods? This may sound silly but should the nut on the transfer rod be up or down for the best weight transfer? any other opinions on what i should do to get a really good lauch.....I'd like to know what to do with the front springs/shocks and the rear springs/shocks/ limiter stap..etc.....got some radar runs and drags coming up in a couple of weeks and I'd like to make the yammie crew proud.......thanks

I have a feeling that you have transfer rods that are adjustable like mine. Do not use the allen wrench to adjust the bottom. You should be able to grasp a knurled part of the transfer rod that is spring loaded and pull down and twist one full turn at a time. This will either give you more or less top gap.

On mine, I think two full turns will move the gap what looks like a washer (for lack of a better word). These are not washers but lines. Make sure both sides are even. Since I could never get a reply from Bender Racing and never got any instructions with mine, I set them up very close to what I figured must have been close to the stock setting and left them there so far. I had like 7 lines showing if I recall.

I am thinking less lines showing will give you more top gap and more ski lift if limiter straps are let out enough. Make small adjustments and lots of launches to determine what is working well.
