Does anyone have the dimensions for mounting a newer M-10 in a proaction, or the measurements of the tunnel template? I want to get away without having to buy the mounting kit. Thanks
there was a post on here with dimensions where to locate the torque arms and making your own reinforcement plates, the post has pictures as well, try a search with polaris in the field because that is the m10 that was used with a mount kit not using the traditional front braces on the inside like a yamaha mount kit uses....CP

Hmm, I have tried searching quite a bit now and still haven't found something like that. I thought that there were dimensions everywhere for this skid but it seems like a lot of people just buy the mount kit. I just can't justify spending that much.

I know you probably have this link, and it does use the template, but you may get an idea from the pictures.
Hope it helps

Yes I have read that over, very good info but the only problem is that there are no dimensions of the tunnel template or tunnel support plate. These will be easy to make I just need some dimensions for the tunnel template and support plate or just measurements of hole locations.
here it is, original thread by JWPSXV ...M-10 question

Thanks for that link, I think I skipped right over that one without looking at the pics.
So would that particular polaris m-10 be the same as a newer fast m-10 as far as mounting locations?

i was under my sled last night replacing bearings, and noticed what the post showed and how my m10 is mounted and i believe there is a difference my front arm is located higher than the original hole for the stock arm using the torque arms, your best bet is to call teamfast, i will try to get a post up to show the difference....later CP

Still looking for some dimensions. I emailed team fast and did not receive a reply yet, I may try calling them as well. Anyone have their M10 out and care to measure the mounting locations? Thanks

I gave in an ordered a mount kit from Team fast lst Friday. As soon as I get it I can take pics and email them to you. I searched all over the net to either find a cheaper kit or how to make your own and gave up. After the kit I will have close to a grand into my m-10. I hope it's worth it.

Thanks that would be very helpful. Mine is starting to add up as well, the shocks need rebuilding and this and that needs to be replaced.

Pm me your email addy and when my kit comes in I'll send the info your way. I bought mine for $600 from a guy on here and new hyfax $40 mount kit $220 and o-rings $2.20, lol. I'm glad mine has great shocks and the fat boy 300 lb spring in the rear.
very intrested

I'm still looking for some dimensions for hole locations. I don't want to give in just yet. If I can't find any I'm going to try mounting the front in the stock location and then just line up the back. I will post some pics of how close the front is to the stock location.

I know I'm slacking. My sled is up on tug hill at a friends house. I should be picking it up this weekend. I left it there for him to ride since he did 90% of the work. not sure if you can see the hole locations in the pics I posted in my working log but I will try to get you more when I get my sled back.

No worries, I thought dimensions would be very common with an M-10 since there are so many around. I thought there would be someone out there that didn't want to get the mount kit lol.

Hmm that's interesting. I'm guessing it sits correctly. Is the front end long traveled or is it stock? Mine seems to sit alright with the front arm in the stock hole and my front end is long travel.
front is long traveled, started with viper fronts to works and now have a set of ohlin piggyback.....This summer project is to put a M10 in the wifes 01 phazer and this post got me thinking of just how it is mounted and maybe when I do the other sled it will be down to the other hole
I picked up a M10 from a member on here with mount kit and instructions (can't find the templates so I could recheck to verify) off a srx which is short traveled like mine and installed, my set up at the time was with viper shocks on all four locations.
I think I used the wrong location of mount holes
I have been having some adjustment issues, made some calls to FAST and they have been really helpful at getting me to where I am at today, I know it can ride better, smoother....now I know
