OK, I broke the lower left control arm on my 2000 SRX 700. The Yamaha part number is 8DF-2384F and according to the parts diagram, yamaha calls it the control arm.
I posted in wanted to buy, and have had a few guys contact me, but one of them calls it a radius rod and someone else calls it a tie rod. I want to make sure these are the same thing as a control rod.
Any comments? thanks.

A tie rod or radius arm in my books are the same. They are for the steering control. The control arm is to hold the spindle and allow up and down movement of the spindle.

I started this confusion, I call the control arm the radius rod, & the steering arm a tie rod. The control arm is the larger bars that only move up & down, not connected to steering.
