very easy mod & it does clean up the throttle response quite a bit. If you were to remove the cylinder you could look down into the transfer port & see that it is completely blocked by the metal stopper so the air/fuel has to travel out around the stopper then turn back before going up into the port. If you looked into a srx port you would see that it is not blocked that is why they are not as responsive to reed spacers or notches like the others. Spacers are also a good option for you.
