The handgrips on my 2000 SRX are loose> The only thing holding them on now is the rivet. What adhesive is used to retain them? Someone told me Yamabond is the right adhesive. Thanks!!

buy grip glue. I use it to glue on my dirtbike grips and on my SRX too, with a new rivet.
I've used contact cement before, it's a little cheaper than grip glue but yes grip glue works well. Maybe sand the handlebar as little first.

just spray the inside of the grip with paint. put it on put in a new rivet and let it dry.

My wife's finger nail polish worked great. I'm 6'4" 260, so they get a workout.

I recommend fixing the grip / get it glued down before you ride....
I just wrecked the element in a grip when one of mine did that and I just rode it anyways. Now it's toast and I need to replace. Doh!

We used to use Aquanet hair spray on the grips (not heated) of our dirt bikes. Don't know if other brands will do, but that's what mom used.

Wrap the bar with hockey stick black grip/friction tape (1 layer only). Spray the tape with hair spray and jam it on (quickly). Get lined up and secure with the 3/16 rivot. Just did mine that way and rode all weekend and its rock solid...
