does any one have a wiring diagram for hand warmers on 01 srx, mine quit working after splicing wires for riser extention. i havent tested any thing yet but i dont believe it is the splicing ,if i did mess up either thumb or hand warmer would stop but not likely both as they are controlled separatly

Get out your ohm meter
I don't have the spec right in front of me, but I just went through this a couple weeks ago.
The two handgrips are wired in series, so if either one of them are bad, then neither of them will work. So what you do is this...
each of them has two pigtail wires going to them which you can easily disconnect right behind the handlebars. Put your ohm meter on the two pigtails for one side and you should have anywhere from 100 to 160 ohms. No ohms, then you have an open circuit and it is no good. Zero ohms and you have a short and it is no good. You need to have 100 to 160 or so ohms. Like I said I don't remember the exact spec.
do the same thing with the pigtails for the other side. Same test, same spec. A new grip and rivet is like $43. It's an easy test to do.

I think mine is like 15 ohms...
