I trail ride in Pennsylvania at no great low temp or high altitude. Is it ok to use regular automotive antifreeze mixed 50/50 in my SX500R?
Thanks
Thanks
That's all I use in my SX600 and I ride in Central Vermont.

I've always been told to run 60/40 mix. I always use that prestone antifreeze that is universal for all colors because it is formulated to not corrode aluminum. Just my 2cents.

Silica free is what you need, and almost all current anti-freeze is.

I think I recall reading in my owners manual a 60/40 mix.

50/50 gives you a strong enough mix(-20),you don't need 60/40 you'll get worse cooling if you go with too strong of mix.

60/40 has been good for my sleds.mind you it does get cold out here to,so want the protection.
