I was racing a 650 Polaris Improved stocker against the ZRT 600s and up to the 800 class back in the the mid to late 90s and still have my notes on them.

LOL!! You always have to Know your Enemy!!!

The best HP numbers Dyno Tech got out of a "Stock" 600ZRT was just over 128HP at 8500rpm...pipes had to be fitted properly and sled jetted down to achieve this...Black Magic + PSI pipes made 130 - 134 hp at 9200RPM, with stock ports.

1997 ZRT weighed in about 520lbs Dry weight...about 40lbs less then an SRX

I saw one 600ZRT[only one] that was real competition in 660' even for my 150hp+++ piped, ported, lightened[under 500lbs], lowered, clutched, geared 650 Indy.

If your buddy has a 700 kit on his ZRT[there were a lot out there] and it is set up properly it could be up around 150hp.

I doubt you are going up against a competetive ZRT because I just don't think they would have lasted this long in a high state of tune, but you never know.

If you have equal traction, are properly clutched, and comparably geared, you should have NO problem...but to be sure race him for at least 1000"

only one I knew of was a 2000 and it was quik...I'll admit it. Although I will say I had a powervalve pull through.
