hey mopar...changed my pilots back to 42.5 today. And I was amazed the SRX started in 24 pulls with empty carbs also..a new record..lol
Got thre idle screw backed off a bit more because with fuel screws at 1.5 turns out still idle hang up.Got it to 2.5 turns out now, drops fast and my idle is around 1600.I think there is a huge difference now when I launch since I changed the pilots also.It is more snappier at launch then before.

Just about every sled will hang the idle after coming to a stop. It is because of float bowl pressure. Unless you are very rich on the pilot circut. I don't think idle hang is a big deal unless it stays there which means lean. My race sleds don't hang because reed motors love fuel on the bottom when you load the motor hard on lauch. I have a trail ported srx that I went to a 47.5 to help a bog on the start because of a 5000 rpm engagement that is on the low side. Should go to a 50 or raise engagement or both. Well enough rambling.

That would make sense...it sure was rich with the 50s after I removed the boost bottle, runs nice and clean again with the 42.5s at approx 2 turns out.

if u hammer on the throtal like say starting engage ment of 5000 and it esitates that means u are lacking fuel on the low circiut on the vmax4800 they come stock with 47.5 piolt if u do any mods at all u have 2 go up 2 55 on the pilot or u will have a slite hesitation. and they run 33flatslides and of coarse thats providing u have ur clutching right AL

yeah, 42.5's will give ya your snap back. how long does your idle hang? otherwise just turn your fuel screws out to 1-3/4 or 1-7/8.
