srx fuel pump leaking gas?
My fuel pump is leaking gas i cant see where it is coming from, where do I start looking? The hoses most likely have not been touched for 12 years. Has anyone had this problem i don't want to pull motor

The hoses are probably as hard as a rock and very brittle. Remove the airbox and you have access to the fuel pump and all the hoses. If the hoses are hoard and brittle, it could be leaking where they connect to the pump. Replace them with the blue polyurethane fuel line. It is also possible that the pump itself is leaking. Check all of the screws in the pump to make sure they are tight. If the screws are tight and the pump is leaking, you will have to replace the pump since a rebuild is not available for it. Ther is no need to remove the engine. Check the condition of the oil lines coming from the oil pump while you are at it.
